From Vision Board to Bahamas
About 15 years ago, I found out that I’m a Water Pig and that I could visit more of my kind in the Bahamas.
Yes, as an ‘83 baby, my Chinese zodiac animal is the Water Boar — and “my kind” are those now-famous swimming pigs of Exuma. 🐷🏝️
Last month, I finally manifested a 10+ year dream: visiting the swimming pigs of the Bahamas.
But… hanging out with my brethren wasn’t quite the magical moment I’d imagined.
The pigs were kind of rough and rowdy. And honestly, I spent most of the time concerned about their skin.
You see, many of them looked sunburned.
Even though the Exumas are literal paradise, one thing that they lack is mud (a pig’s natural SPF).
But what does this sort of disappointing story have to do with manifesting?
Well—sometimes the specific thing we want to manifest turns out to be… not as great as we’d hoped.
It’s helpful to keep that in mind if we find ourselves getting too attached and fixated on:
SP (specific person)
SJ (specific job)
SH (specific house)
SV (specific vacation)
You get the idea.
What I was reminded of in Exuma is this:
The version we think we want may not be as satisfying as the version Source has queued up for us.
That’s why I love keeping the energetic door open with the phrase:
“This or something better.”
Thankfully, our Inner Being always knows what we’re really asking for— often better than we do. As Abraham would say, our broader self is already in the Vortex, enjoying the full bouquet of all of our requests.
And you know what happened instead of my dream water pig moment?
I had an even cooler animal adventure… swimming with nurse sharks. 🦈
