How to Know How Big to Dream
When setting intentions for what you’d like to manifest, how do you know how big to dream?
Do you go for what you really want or what you think you can have?
Do you try to strike some kind of balance between the two?
In this article, I’ll share my best tips for finding your intention-setting-sweet-spot.
The most important thing to understand about setting intentions is that the primary purpose of doing this is actually not to manifest the specific thing that you’re intending.
I know this probably sounds like a contradiction... but, bear with me here for just a sec. 😊
The real reason to set intentions is for the amazing feeling you get from clarifying what you most want.
These positive feelings are the goal.
That’s because when an intention causes you to feel really good right now, the Law of Attraction matches this vibration. It responds by bringing you manifestations that also feel really good.
Yes, you very well may end up manifesting your specific intention. Or, you might manifest something that is totally different, but that feels equally as good as (or even better than!), the specific vision you had in mind.
For example, after my boyfriend (who I thought at the time was my dream guy) broke up with me, I did what any heartbroken conscious creator might be tempted to do…
I used my magic to see if I could attract him back into my reality.
It didn’t work. Instead, my manifesting efforts brought a totally new love interest into my life.
In hindsight, I’m so thankful for what some could say was a manifesting “failure” because my current sweetie is a five times better match for me than my previous top pick.

If it could all come together easily, what would I instruct the Universe to create for me?
What’s the best feeling outcome that I can imagine right now?
How might I adjust what I’m intending to make it feel even better?
If I had a fresh, clean slate in this area and could create whatever I wanted, what would I ask for?
If I could forget about anything that’s happened in the past and just create fresh and brand-new right now, what would I like to have?
If I could totally start over and make it exactly the way I wanted it, how would I create this to be?
If I took other people completely out of the equation and just created what sounds best to me, trusting that this was also best for everyone else, what would I ask for?
When you truly let your feelings be your #1 guide as you answer these questions, you’ll naturally find yourself striking a perfect balance between “big” and “believable” intentions.
In some instances, you may find that it feels best to allow yourself to dream BIG and imagine a scenario that seems totally illogical given your present circumstances.
In other cases, you may find that it feels best to just imagine things slightly tweaked from the way that they currently are.
In either case, when you let how-it-feels be the primary goal, you’ll end up tuning into the perfect words that cause you to feel better here and now plus assist you in creating wonderful new outcomes down the road.
