Clean Slate Manifesting
“This ALWAYS happens right before we’re about to leave for vacation!” my friend declared, as she folded up a fresh kitchen towel into thirds and placed it below the newly leaky dishwasher.
“It’s funny… it usually happens in THREES.”
And, sure enough, that leaky dishwasher was also accompanied by a hot water heater that suddenly needed to be replaced as well as a burned out lightbulb, located in the most annoying spot above the stairs where you’d need to put up a ladder in order to change it out.
My sweet friend isn’t a conscious creator....
And obviously this stressful moment was NOT the time to introduce such a topic...
So all I could do was offer my best sympathetic nod and agree to keep a steady watch on this misbehaving machine when cleaning my dishes.
Despite the last-minute mishaps, my friends left for their beachy vacation as scheduled. Meanwhile, Nick and I began our duty as week-long house-sitters.
Two days after my friends’ departure, the dishwasher stopped leaking.
“Well, I don’t have a vibration about things breaking before I go on vacation.” I commented to Nick, doing my best shrugging-shoulders-emoji-girl impersonation.
Leaky dishwasher repair is just one of the handy things that manifest when you’re working with a “clean slate” vibration.
When we don’t have negative expectations, things tend to easily work out in our favor.
When we’re not splitting our energy with a story of unwanted, we sync up with the vibration of the Source within who’s always focused on our wellbeing.
Problems auto-resolve, answers swiftly follow questions... and yes, dishwashers just fix themselves when we don’t get in the way with resistant energy.
But, what about those things that we don’t have an easy, automatic, “clean slate” vibration about?
What about those times when we’re like my friend, with an unwanted situation that we’ve experienced so much or so strongly in the past that it’s hard not to expect it to happen once again?
This can be one of the most tricky parts of manifesting!
It definitely trips me up from time to time.
Many of my disagreements with Nick have come from projecting onto him the behavior of past boyfriends.
He’ll innocently say or do something that triggers my memory of a past love who “done me wrong.”
Before I became more aware of this pattern, that triggering could lead to an argument.
But over time, I’ve learned to operate from more of a “clean slate” when it comes to Nick. I do my best to avoid jumping to conclusions or making assumptions based on the past.
So here’s my big realization:
Why not give a clean slate to every area of our lives all the time?
Because, the Universe and the Law of Attraction already do.
The Universe isn’t responding to our vibration from yesterday.
The Law of Attraction isn’t bringing us more of what we focused upon two weeks ago.
What happened in the past has no relation to what we manifest moving forward unless we drag that past baggage with us into the now.
Because, now is the only moment that matters when it comes to our manifesting power.
In each moment, we already have a clean slate to create.
If we’ve been in financial scarcity for 20 years... it doesn’t matter because we have a clean slate right now to vibrate financial abundance into our lives.
The Universe doesn’t count all that time we spent missing our soulmate… we have a clean slate right now to call in our perfect partner.
This sparkling, clear, clean, open space to create is a gift worth remembering.
So, why not approach every familiar situation with new eyes and a new question?
Because we have a clean slate with the Universe.
Because the past is irrelevant and right now we’re empowered to choose anything we want.
Letting go of everything that’s been before…
From this fresh, new, open space...
What do we want to create now?
When we bring this kind of purity and lightness of being into our manifesting practice we’re aligning with our full power by seeing ourselves the way that the Universe already sees us.
And watch out world... because, from a vibration like that anything becomes possible.
Here’s to claiming our clean-slate-to-create and using it to write the story of our lives exactly the way that we’d most like to live it.
Love and Magic,
