Learning From My Manifesting Failures & Successes

Recently, I won the bakery lottery.

At least, that’s what it felt like!

As per most of our vacations, Nick and my recent trip to Kauai was heavily centered around food. And one of the many places I was excited to try was the Hanalei Bread Company.

So when we needed lunch at 11:45am on a Tuesday, HBC was my suggestion.

“They close at 12:30. But it shouldn’t be a problem, we’re only a few minutes away,” I remarked.

While Nick searched for a parking spot, I found a place in line. I’d already decided upon a slice of avocado toast, another slice of “fancy” toast, fresh OJ, and a bottle of locally brewed kombucha. Yum 😋

There were around 8 people ahead of me in line when I noticed a sign reading, “Kitchen closes at 12pm. All orders must be placed by 11:55.”

It was 11:53. And the people at the counter were ordering verrrrry slowly.

Then the lady ahead of me in line turned around and said in an anxious voice, “Are you ordering food? I’m just trying to buy bread. I hope they let us order.”

Fortunately, her worry alerted me to my own slight tension. I knew that tension was really not helping. So I shifted back into conscious-creator mode and did my best to just chill out about this potentially perilous lunch situation.

Moments later, a bakery worker appeared, surveying the growing line of eager patrons. She looked right at me and asked, “Are you ordering food?”

I nodded.

“OK you’ll be the last one to order,” she said.

“Woohoo!” I cheered internally. A happy lunch manifestation made that much sweeter because I did it deliberately.

So why am I sharing this with you today?

Because, while it’s fun to get selected as the “chosen one” who gets to order food at one of the hottest breakfast spots in Hanalei.

It’s even funner when you get selected because you deliberately shifted your vibe into alignment.

Kind of like when my client’s wife brought home free pizza from work the other day.

This already good thing was made even better because he consciously created it. “Free pizza” was the intention he’d recently chosen as part of the “manifesting scavenger hunt” I’d suggested to boost confidence in his creative power.

Or when my other client’s child walked into the room and handed her a piece of mail that spoke directly to her intention. It was that much cooler because this happened within minutes of doing a journaling practice to increase her alignment.

We’re always manifesting. But it’s way more satisfying and fun when we do it deliberately.

My own journey of becoming even more conscious around what I’ve been creating lately is the topic of today’s YouTube video.

A recent birthday plus the mid-point of 2024 has me reflecting upon recent manifesting highs, lows, and lessons learned. This video shares all the juicy details… sometimes glorious and sometimes, tbh, kinda embarrassing.

Hey, we’re all friends here, right? 😅
