Best of the Blog - 2021
One of the mistakes that can be easy to make at year end is to be so focused on the fresh start and new beginning that a brand new year can bring that we forget to properly celebrate our successes, wins, lessons, and learnings from the previous year.
While it’s normal (and wonderful!) to be excited about what’s coming, focusing only upon future dreams can lead to sort of a tense feeling of always striving but never arriving.
Only paying attention to where we want to be in the future can lead to seeing ourselves as continually “not enough” as is.
This used to be my issue. Not fun.
And so, over the years I’ve trained myself to give adequate time to celebrate where I’ve been instead of only focusing upon where I’m wanting to go next.
I’ve found that it really helps me to create a feeling of abundance and success (instead of lack or “it’s never enough”). That’s not only a way better vibe from which to manifest wonderful new results, but it also helps me feel good right now. Win win. 😊
My new year’s wish for you is that you also make plenty of time to celebrate your wins from 2021.
Sometimes it can be easy to miss these chances for celebration if we don’t go looking for them. I hope you take the time to reflect and celebrate yourself for all the things you enjoyed, appreciated, learned, and accomplished over the past year.
